DUCKS
Ducks trace tracks on a pond.
Children – hands clenched on breadcrumbs
Wait.
Reeds flicker sunlight
Ducks look at the children
Dip beaks for thrown morsels.
Children out of time
Turn to answer mother’s call
Leave the pond now.
Ducks turn to salt
If you look back
Mother says.
Children fly kites
Run against the wind
Run against the wind.

SHE
The male spider lurks.
A spider with winsome
jaws appears
to notice him.
She, femme fatale,
sharpens her attributes
bulging eyes rotating
resting on him,
he knew it,
antennae touching
as they dance
in a last
embrace.
She consumes him
with no grace.
And you,
not trusting,
thinking I’m flirting
with veiled, promising look
prior to
consummation

Moj voljeni vulkan
Zar još jedna erupcija kamena rastopljenog
uz gromku buku iz bezdana kulja vrelog!?
Zar opet zemlja se trese dok tutnji u daljini
a žar poput kiše prekriva tlo mi znano!?
Vatre goleme, bez milosti dolinom se šire
koja plodna jednom bješe...
Zar opet to gledam!!?
Grmljavinu strašnu, tminu gustu neprovidnu,
sile umu neshvatljive gdje tek zrno sam sitno.
Nije mi to novo - vulkan znam taj dobro,
prijatelji smo mi stari, od začetka dana
on tu je, pratitelj moj vjerni.
Kad rigat krene milosti nema, strah me prožme
jer od ognja tog malo što osta.
No oku nevidljivo tu krije se čudo,
život novi kao Feniks iz pepela niče,
čist i nevin kraj stošca uspavanog,
raste i buja, cvjeta i plodi...
...u vječnoj mijeni s kojom mirit se moram.

Soft white winter snows
Bring joy to the children's eyes

paraissent
hostiles
et préviennent
de ne pas regarder
à travers la porte
comme ça je reste
hésitante
jusqu’à quand ils vont disparaître
et les passants
sont là-bas encore une fois
je les vois
à travers les fenêtres
et je veux les rejoindre
comme ça je baisse
la poignée
et la porte lourde
s’ouvre toute grande
je vais au- delà
dans l’espoir
que le jardin
et les collines
entrevues à travers
le verre
seront encore là
de l’autre côté
de la porte.

SPRING DREAM poésie de DANIELLE BILODEAU, Canada
LIEN: http://daniellebilodeau.com/
On the eve of my Birthday
I awoke in a vivid dream
A wonderous fairy garden where
A curly, blue haired unicorn
Came trotting, quickly, towards me.
She came and stopped beside me
I reached to stroke her neck.
She was warm silky soft,
The next thing I knew
I am upon her back!
Across the fields we were racing
I saw about the flowers strew.
Many kinds, colours, wonderful scents,
“This land is alive and
Finally, Spring has come through!”
Behind me is time that's past
I see the future come clearer;
A little patience I need
And my shiny little unicorn
Will help be my bearer.
“Believe in me, I am you!”
I heard her in my mind.
Then we parted for now,
Awaking in the morning knowing:
Love, family and friendship abound!

Carousel
He streaks past
On his bucking mount
Pink mane waving
With wind force 10
A frenzied gallop
The bit between his teeth
As I stand mouth wide
Watching
From sidelines
Waiting for
The next revolution
The wooden horses
Flashing past
Until the roundabout
Slows to a stop
And I pay my dues
To join
The mad circle
- zebras, crocodiles
plastic ducks –
all brightly decked
Choose the vacated seat
Still warm
Stroke the fuchsia cords
Of my steed
And settle for
The gentle rocking
At the mechanical
Turn of the wheel
Watching in my turn
The admiring upturned faces
Of the throng below
At every round
Oohing and aahing
Under the fairground
Lights – the music
And the fanfare
Of a hot August
Night –
Impatient
To take on the wild
Menagerie
As it grinds to the halt
The riders jolt
To a stop.
