Glück bedeutet
Gott zu kennen
Das Sein, das mich, dich, und die Welt durchdringt
In ruhevoller Ordnung
Chaos ist dort, wo der Verstand zerteilt
In viele Stücke zerfällt so das Ganze,
Die Welt, der Kosmos.
Milliarden, Trilliarden
Moleküle, Atome, bewegen sich nach einem Muster, - kosmisch
Innen und Außen vereinigt,
Die Ganzheit
Ist heilig
Ein Teil als Teil nur bruchstückhaft,
Fehlerhaft lose
Ohne Sinn und Zusammenhang
Ist es hier, dort und überall
Nie dort wo du es suchst.
Umarme das Vollständige
Seines vielfältigen Spiels
Und tanze
Zur Musik des Schöpfers,
Dem ungesehenen Dirigenten
Dem unerschaffenen Erschaffenden
Der alles durchströmt
Leuchtend
In entlegensten Winkeln
In allertiefster Schwärze
Und aus sich selbst heraus
Explodiert
In hellstes Licht
Erhaben
Von unbegreiflicher Schönheit
Aus einem Material
Das ebenso dicht wie flüchtig ist
Sich wandelnd und wandelnd
Empor und hernieder
Quillt es hervor
In unermüdlichem Spiel
Wirbelnd in einem Strom von
Gedanken
Erschaffend
Zerstörend
Doch neutral
Voller Freude
Aus Liebe geboren
In Liebe sich fortsetzend
Ohne Ende
In sich selbst bestehend
Voller Leben
Das Leben
Lebt
Auch der Tod
wird vom Leben getragen,
Der kleine Tod im großen
Fortbestand

Until the stars fall
I know what love is with you
do you know what love is with me ?
I think about you all the time
every minute of every day
and I will always be there
until the sun goes down
and the stars all fall out from the sky
the very first time I looked on your face
like the first time the sun lit the sky
I could see through your eyes
I could reach through your soul
I dreamed we could fly to the stars
I think about you all the time
every minute of every day
I will always be there until the sun goes down
and the stars all fall out from the sky
at the end of the day
when the sun goes down
and sets in your eyes one last time
the stars come to meet you
but the morning defeats you
I’ll hold you forever in my heart
I think about you all the time
every minute of every day
I will always be there
until the sun goes down
and I’ll take down the stars from the sky

fort
sous le réverbère.
Maintenant nous luttons pour nous rappeler
sa chaude lueur
sa forme élégante
tandis que ses lumières tranchantes
- là où
nous nous promenons le soir
dans ces nuits d’hiver –
sont si lumineuses
mais elles ne parviennent pas à adoucir
tes rides héroïquement conquises
ton regard inquiet.
Oh le réverbère
quand notre vie venait de commencer
et je t’embrassais, mon amour,
sous ses rayons fins.

| STREETLAMP
We look to the past When the light shone brighter When days were sun filled And after dark We loitered hand in hand Under its yellow beam Your summer dress picked out Your face lit In mysterious tones As we cuddled together Afire Under the street lamp.
We struggle to remember Its warm glow Its elegant form While the sharp lights Where we take Our evening stroll These winter nights Are so bright Fail to flatter Your hard-won lines Your worried frown Oh for the street lamp When life was just begun And I kissed you, my love, Under its subtle rays

| LAMPIONE
Noi guardiamo verso il passato Quando la luce splendeva più chiara Quando i giorni erano pieni di sole E dopo l’oscurità Indugiavamo mano nella mano Sotto i suoi gialli raggi Il tuo vestito estivo metteva in risalto Il tuo viso illuminato Con toni misteriosi Mentre ci abbracciavamo Forte Sotto il lampione.
Ora noi lottiamo per ricordare Il suo caldo bagliore La sua forma elegante Mentre le luci taglienti - Là dove facciamo La nostra passeggiata serale In queste sere d’inverno - Sono così luminose Ma non riescono ad addolcire Le tue rughe eroicamente conquistate Il tuo sguardo preoccupato. Oh quel lampione Quando la vita era appena iniziata E io ti baciavo, amore mio, Sotto i suoi raggi sottili

| THE OBJECT
It has been there some time When I entered the room It was already there It seems to be of two colours But then in certain lights It has to be three or four Or even more But then it appears Almost colourless I wouldn’t swear to it Being coloured at all
It’s spherical in shape I’m sure of that Not so sure really Truth be known From another angle It could be round Or flat or multi shaped Starshaped with sharp corners Now I’m getting fanciful It is after all A very simple object Or so I think Until I approach it And it is blinking On and off, on and off
I think my eyesight Must be faulty Closer It emits no light Rather a dull thing In fact And when I pick it up A bit of a deadweight Not light and feathery As I had supposed A bit of a disappointment Really I expected more From the object
When I first saw it The object in the middle of the room Or was it to one side I don’t quite remember It’s playing on my min My mind, my mind If it was ever there This object.
AERONWY THOMAS | L’OBJET
